Center for Change & Leadership
The Center for Change and Leadership will aim to advocate and work towards systemic reform that is transformative, achievable, and replicable across the State of South Carolina by implementing evidence-driven, solution-focused programs targeted to underserved communities of color. If we are going to close the income and inequality gaps, there must be equal employment opportunities, greater access to housing, and expanded participation in civic engagement. It is the hope of the League, that the Center will become a catalyst for economic and social change that empowers communities and changes lives.

The Charleston Area Urban League coordinates research and data-based information to focus on important issues and support for programs needed to serve minorities and the poor, as well as the broader community. The CAUL advocates on behalf of Charleston’s underserved and under-represented populations to achieve equal opportunity and access to the economic and social mainstream.
